FAQ
What is included?
- One 2-person tent
- Two sleeping pads
How will I receive the product?
There will be a clearly marked tent at the Ragnar Village where you pick up the product when you check in. Return it to the same location before you leave.
Can I reserve more than one set?
Yes! Simply increase the quantity on the checkout page.
I like the product, can I purchase it from Ragnar?
Not at this time. But please visit www.tetongear.com to view their full camping inventory.
What is the rental period?
Tents and pads must be reserved in advance online. No on-site rentals will be permitted unless there is spare inventory. The rental starts on Thursday of the Ragnar Trail race weekend and ends on Saturday after the race. Tents and pads must be returned before the renter departs the venue. If the renter does not arrive until Friday, they may also pick up their tent and pads anytime on Friday at the same rental price.
Where do I pick up my rental?
When you arrive to the Ragnar Village, please visit the Camping Equipment Rental tent, located next to the HQ tent where your team checks in. This tent is also where you will return your tent and sleeping pads at the end of the event.
Can I still rent cots?
Yes, Ragnar still rents cots at each trail event for $20 each. Advance reservations are not available for cots at this time. Cots are available on a first-come, first-serve basis at the camping equipment rental tent. The rental fee is payable by credit card only on site at the event.
How many people fit in a tent?
The Teton Vista 2-person tent fits a maximum of 2 people. If you want to house more than 2 people, please rent more tents!
How do I set my tent up?
The Teton Vista 2-Person Tent is designed for a quick and easy setup in under 5 minutes. No need to mess around with poles! First, take the tent out of the bag, then unfold the base of the tent. Use the cord on the top of the frame to pull the frame up and lock it into place. Be sure to secure the tent to the ground with provided stakes. A rain fly is provided and can be affixed to the corners of the tent at the stakes. To tear down, simply follow this process in reverse, folding the fly and the tent neatly. Roll the tent tightly to slide it back into its bag. Feel free to ask a Ragnar staff or SWAT member on site for help.
Ragnar will also lend hammers at the equipment rental tent that may be borrowed as needed. Hammers are meant to pound stakes in the ground to hold your tent in place. Hammers must be returned upon finishing the tent setup.
How do I inflate the sleeping pad?
No electricity or pump needed to inflate. Its valves are designed to fully inflate the pad and make deflation quick and easy. Just twist the valve open and the pad begins to fill itself. It will be completely inflated in a matter of minutes. Then twist it closed to trap the air at any level of inflation you like best. Reverse this process to deflate your pads before returning them.
What if my tent or pads are damaged?
The renter is responsible for damage to the tent or sleeping pads, outside of normal wear and tear. The renter should inspect the tent and pads upon receiving and let Ragnar staff know if there is pre-existing damage or missing parts. Renters returning damaged tents or pads, or returning with missing parts, will be responsible for paying the full MSRP value of the tent and pads. The tent MSRP is $129 and each pad MSRP is $74.99.
